Today we woke up at 4:45am let me tell it is hard getting up that early since the last 2 months we woke up at 8:30 or 9:00 am with our workcamping job starting at 10 am so having to get up at 4:45 am will take some getting used to. Todd was not that cranky this morning he had his coffee first thing.
We leave our campground at about 5:25 am to make sure we can get there on time the road that Amazon is on can be busy. Arrived and we are actually going to get to go out on the floor and learn our job. Our position is ICQA (Quality Insurance) we count the bins that all the product is in and make sure what we could matches the computer system. Yes it will be mind numbing at time because you are not really moving from one MOD the whole time. We talked about getting switched to picking that is what we really wanted to do it is more active and moving we planned on using Amazon to get us back in better shape. Apparently it is really hard to get anyone switched they have people that are pickers that can hardly walk 100 feet and we are young and active and they have us sitting stationary counting I think they made a HUGE mistake by putting us in quality assurance but hey we will do any job given to us with no problem we did let HR know that if they really needed to move people to picking that he should move us first hahah....
This week is work hardening we are working half our normal shift to make sure our bodies can adjust and make sure we are not jumping in really fast. They also said that next week may be work hardening as well but I really hope not I just want to start making the big bucks lol... So far we are loving it lets see how much we love it when we start working to 10 hour days....
