3rd Day At Amazon...

Woke up to a bad storm and pouring rain which makes it harder to wake up rain makes me want to lay in bed a cuddle with my hubby and animals. It was raining so hard I asked Todd to pull up the truck to the door so I do not get wet I am made of sugar so sweet I could melt LMAO... ;-)

Today we started out the same place we were yesterday on MOD J this place is a mess. The decided that we needed to see the nightmare bins before we saw the good bins. I do not think these are that made so the good ones should be a piece of cake :-). About an hour into the nightmare bins as they call them we were moved to MOD P BOOKS!!!. I automatically thought counting books is going to be a nightmare i was so wrong... The bins are only deep enough for a book so all the books are sitting in the bins nicely to be counted.The are only a few problems that we encountered with this occasionally you will have a stray book hidden behind the book sitting nicely or a stray cell phone case stuffed inside a book if you count is wrong the first time because of the stray products you need to count again. If you are wrong on the second count your toast... not really they send another person out to recount the bin to double check the numbers. We are almost of out training I am very happy with this I find it very hard to listen to the trainers when they repeat everything 3 times I understand that it is important but 2 times is enough for me. 

Just a little side note if you ever do Amazon you will get a free clear purse or fanny pack... yes i said fanny pack they are cool to wear at Amazon. If you take gum in the fanny pack take all the piece's out of the pack otherwise when you go through security you will have to take it out of the clear bag every time. If you can get a belt that does not have metal on in if you can Todd does not have one so he has to take his belt off every time he goes through. It is not like it is a big deal just a few pointers oh YOU CAN NOT TAKE YOUR PHONE INTO THE PLANT WITH YOU AT ALL.. Amazon has what looks to be an unlimited supply of water there are water coolers every where you can not take anything other then water on the plant floor. In the break room they have vending machine's out the woo zaa lol.. they have free coffee, hot chocolate and cappuccinos and free Gatorade it looks like they change the flavors every week. They have industrial size refrigerators to keep your lunch in but keep in mind you only get 30 minutes for lunch..

We love in we have to work Friday and we have off Saturday. Our normal schedule is Fri-Mon 6 am- 4:30 pm with breaks at 8:30 am for 15 mins and 1:30 pm for 15 mins. Something that we will have to get used to is eating lunch at 10:30 am but I guess it would be right since we start at 6 am. Hopefully Sunday we will be able to start working our 10 hour days I do not want the extra week of work hardening... BLAH we should find out tomorrow...
