A Glass Of Wine A Day Will Keep The Stress Away!!

Last night after we had the bike and dog parade in the campground which I could not get any pictures of because my camera is broke blah. We cleaned up and for some reason I felt really stressed out and I could not figure out why maybe it was being around all the kinds screaming and yelling....

All cleaned up we headed back to the trailer to grab some dinner steak taco's. The tacos did not turn out so great.. I know you a probably thinking how do you mess up taco's lol... it was not that he messed them up they just did not taste well the steak had a lot of fat and we hate chewing on fat YUCK.

Ian our neighbor is making a big fire because this is going to be out last weekend together that we will be relaxing next weekend we are going to be packing and ready to head out. I had laundry at the gatehouse that I needed to get so I head down there on the way I decided that I was going to stop and talk to Jackie and Buzz for a few our friends and fellow host.

Talking to her she sensed that I am stressing like my normal stress monkey self she ask's me "have you ever tried wine?" my answer "no" well she says you are in for a treat she gives me a glass of Chardonnay for my first glass of wine it taste so good. I felt the stress monkey leaving and the care free me coming out. Not realizing I sat and chatted for almost 2 hours I knew Todd was wondering were I was. I finish up the wine and head out Jackie makes me promise to come back again soon and chat and I agreed.

I get the laundry from the gatehouse and head back up by this time it is 9 pm so I know Todd is wondering. I pull up and he walks over and asks me where I went and told me never to do that again without letting him know. I love to know that he worries about me not that he is a worry wort I was not feeling good when I left so he was just worried that something happened me to.

We sat by the HUGE fire until about 11:30 and decided to head in and watch some TV relax and hit the sack since all out campers were pretty quite.

Feeling better!!!

Went to bed last night feeling like I was getting sick all over again all I could do was hope that I was not. Woke up this morning feeling really refreshed and energized I am so happy. It looks like it is going to be a beautiful labor day weekend at the campground hopefully the 40% chance of rain does not make it over the mountain tonight. We have some fun stuff scheduled today is a Bike and Dog Parade for all ages!!!

I have a weight lifted off my shoulders we finally got our drug screen scheduled for Amazon now on Tuesday we are headed to Johnson City, TN 47 miles from here UGH.... Once that is done we just have to wait until Sept 7th to head out. I am going to miss all the great people we met here but I am almost sure we will cross paths again of at least I hope we do.

Currently I am sitting at work at the gatehouse waving to people who Virginia Creeper Trail and looking at Class A's I think we have finally decided we are going to go Class A instead of 5th Wheel. This was a very long debate and battle but I have to say Todd won this battle :-( there are many of good reasons for us to get a Class A vs 5th Wheel I think the main reason is for convenience. Now if anyone reading has any advice on which brand of Class A is the best and why please give me any info possible. We are going to buy used for sure and we want it to be at least 2005 and or newer. Any information is great information :-)

UGH!!! Still Sick Day 3 BLAH

Woke up this morning still sick I am supposed to be back at work at 2pm today. Todd is up and out blowing the leaves of the camp sites getting ready for our busy weekend. I am still laying in bed hoping that when 2pm rolls around I will feel better. Todd gets back in from work around 11:30am asks me if I would like anything for lunch. still sick all I wanted was soup and crackers so that is what I got. The only thing that could make being sick better would be my Grandmothers homemade chicken noodle soup but she is all the way in MD if she shipped it to me it would not be good by time it got here :-(

2pm rolls around and I am still feeling like crap. I have Todd take me over to Bob and Snookie’s to let Bob know not to pick up Snookie that she is going to work for me. I go to the gatehouse and let Snookie know that she is going to work for me. She is such a great person she had no problem with it and even said that if i was not feeling well tomorrow that she would work for me as well I told her that I would be here tomorrow regardless. Back home we go I see a lot of sleep and meds in my future. I take some cold med and nausea pill and go to sleep.

Todd gets bored and lets me know that he is going to take a golf cart ride I am half asleep but I hear him. he decided that since his legs hurt from running down the mountain the previous day with crazy Cosmo that he was going to take the golf cart up the Lum Trail… keep in mind that we have had a lot of rain the past week so mud mud mud….. LMAO Todd gets back to the trailer and he is filthy muddy. He got the golf cart stuck in a lot of mud trying to get down the trail he was there 20 minutes working on getting the golf cart free from the mud. His clothes were muddy shoes sopping with mud and all I could do was laugh he said “see what happens when I get bored” LOL… I guess i better keep him busy from now on.

I Ate A Salad

Here is a little back story on why me eating a salad is a BIG THING!!!!

My Mom she has always when I was younger tried to get me to eat a salad, veggies and anything healthy well. She made me eat them but I gave her hell while eating it. For some reason in my mind they did not taste good and I would kick and scream when I had to eat them.

Still to this day I do not eat veggies, Salad or anything healthy. I was told by my doctor that I need to take vitamins because I am not getting my nutrients that I need. I am also lactose intolerant so I do not drink milk or eat dairy on top of that I do not like cheese only pizza cheese lol.. I know that sounds crazy. I am one of the pickiest eaters you will ever find.

For dinner the other night Todd informs me that I will be eating a salad. About a week ago I told Todd that when we got to KY I was going to start eating healthier and taking care of my body better knowing that I have not been giving my body what it needs the past 27 years lol.. He makes me a small salad with lettuce crotons and  my favorite dressing zesty Italian. I get it in front of me and I tell myself “it tastes good you can do this” just something to make myself realize that I should be eating this. I took my first bite it was not bad at all I know it will taking some getting used to but I think this will be added into my eating habit going forward. That marks a BIG step for me. Now the next step is to make veggies taste good lol.. any idea’s?????

Still Sick Blah :-(

Still not feeling great at all… BLAH I just want this damn sickness to go away!!!! Todd is feeling 100% today the cough is still lingering but he does not feel sick at all. of course last day off this week will be spent in the bed with LMN I love the movies on this channel.

Todd is getting bored again since I am laying in bed sick and he has nothing to do. He is going to take our crazy Cosmo hiking. The hike they are going to take is about 3 miles total up and back. They leave and they are gone about 1 hours I get up to get some water from the kitchen and what do I see 3 BEES in the trailer apparently Todd left the latch open on the door. My heart starts to race and I could not find my fly swatter. I get my shoes on and throw the harness on Pookie and start up the trail. Knowing I was not going to make it that far because I was sick I was hoping he was going to be on him way down. It get about 1/4 mile up the trail and I see crazy Cosmo round the corner I was so happy to see them. Todd said what are you doing out here I said you need to kill bees. Of course he looked at me like I was crazy because I was sick hiking up the mountain because there were bees in the house YES!!!! I am that afraid of bees people. Todd was so tired because crazy Cosmo gave him a work out that dog run up the mountain and down again he thought he was going to be carrying Cosmo by the end of the trip No Way Cosmo got home and was still hyper crazy started stuff with the other dog who were not happy.

We get home all the bee’s are killed now Todd and I can lay down and watch me LMN (of course Todd hates this channel) but since I am sick I get to choose what I watch. hoping that I feel better tomorrow to work at the gate house.

He Shared His Sickness Blah….

Well you know how on Monday we were hoping for Todd to get better so we could go hiking and hunting with a camera… well Todd is better but he shared that damn sickness with me. I went to bed Monday night sneezing and sniffling and I was not happy I told Todd that i did not want him to share. I woke up congested, coughing, sneezing and aching all over my body I guess my day off will be spent laying in bed watching LMN eating chicken noodle soup and cracker :-(

Todd is still feeling a little stuffer up so he is going to spend the rest of the day relaxing and cleaning up around the trailer since we only have 10 days left until we pack up and head on our new journey. He starts to clean off all the spider webs off the screen tent there are so many spiders around here it give me the creeps!!! When Todd touched the tent he said it looked like a herd of antelopes running there were hundreds of daddy long leg spiders running to the top trying to save them self. He would have taken a picture/video if he had his phone with him but he didn't.

After he is finished cleaning up the outside area I get crazy and want to move the screen tent. I know we only have a short time left but I need a change in scenery even if it just moving something. By this time Todd is sitting down enjoying a cigar he gives me that look “are you crazy”!! Moving the tent was easy and better we now have the dogs in the screen tent with us. We are out in the open now for people that need wood and any help being we are going to have a crazy busy Labor Day Weekend and now I can sit in my zero gravity chair and not have to worry about bug crawling all over me before where we had the tent I did not have room to put my chair in the tent because of the picnic table :-)

It is a beautiful but sad day!!

It is a beautiful sunny day the temp is maybe 78 perfect with a light breeze we are counting down the days to get off this mountain hopefully to some better weather. 14 days and counting. It still is a very sad day for me my camera that I have had for 5 years has decided it wanted to break. I know I need a new one but geesh couldn’t it wait until I got to Amazon so I can order a new one. I am not going to risk ordering one now being that I have a short time left in Virginia :-(

Tomorrow is our start of our 2 days off and I was hoping to get hiking and hunting ( not with a gun but with a camera) but the hunting part is not going to happen. I will settle with hiking hoping that my sick ling hubby is feeling better. He must have caught a cold or something he has been battling this for 3 days. I hate seeing him like this but the saying is so true when a man get sick they are a baby they are worse then a women sick. I will baby him all the time when he is sick though I make him his favorite soup he will only eat when he is sick Campbell's Chicken and Sausage Gumbo with hot sauce and butter bread. I give him back rubs and wait on him hand and foot. The faster he gets better the less I stress worrying about him. Today he is looking much better so one more day in bed and relaxing for him and I think tomorrow we will be hiking and enjoying the beautiful weather.

In exactly a week my very good friend that I have made here is going to be leaving me and heading to Arizona. I am very jealous and this is another sad part of the day. Jealous because I want to get to Arizona. I hope they have a safe journey west and hopefully after Amazon we will be heading west and maybe meet up with them for a few weeks again. Snookie has taught me a lot about workamping her and her husband Bob have been doing this for over 7 years they are very knowledgeable about tips and tricks. The whole reason I have a blog is because of her she helped me set it up and get it up and running. She has a blog that she has been writing for 7 years her web address is http://www.quinnsawesomejourney.blogspot.com/

I am so sad to see them go but in this lifestyle you make great friends and you part ways because we are always on to our next journey but staying in contact is something we will always do and hopefully we will cross paths again… I know I have another week with them but it makes me very sad :-(

Planning a 10 year high school reunion :-0

I am in the process of planning a 10 year high school reunion and let me tell you it is not easy when you do not live in the state you are planning it in.I have not lived in MD in 5 years I grew up there but for the life of me I can not think of a unique cool different place to have our reunion.I have asked for several people’s help in thinking of a place who live in MD.

I did not know until I got the official list from BCPS how many people were in my class. Tracking people down who have been married and changed their name is a task itself. Crazy but not everyone has a face book and these days how do you track someone down without a face book? It is also very sad when you find someone and you read that they have passed away or have been killed this makes me really think how precious life is and to never take any day for granted live life to the fullest.

getting everyone to agree on a place or a kind of place to have the reunion was not tough. We  picked  a place called Jimmy’s Seafood but to me that is just your average run of the mill restaurant I want something different, unique and cool lol.. So now I am on the hunt to find a place. Ugh I wish there was a high school reunion fairy that just waved her magic wand and “poof” there is the prefect reunion planned.

I have made it my personally mission to make this reunion the best reunion and memorable so until May 9th 2015 (is the date we would like to have it) I will be racking my brain and going crazy so this can be perfect OH and to add more crazy to the mix. I will be working my butt off at Amazon.com from Sept 9th-Dec23rd so I will be going extra crazy!! counting down the days until this part of the craziness starts 15 days 20 hours and 34 minutes……

OMG that is a HUGE UGLY SPIDER

It was a warm night very humid I thought we escaped the humidity leaving FL but I guess not completely lol.. We go outside around 10pm to take the dogs outside and to find fatty fatty bo batty cat Spankie I look over at our screen tent and get chills looking at this huge spider.

I call Todd over and he is stunned at how big this thing is he has never seen a spider that big in his life. he starts to mess his web up that he spun and he gets really mad. The spider moved to quick I could not believe it. It starts to crawl up our slack line on the screen tent Todd asked me to keep and eye on it he was going to get a lighter and bug spray I wanted him to kill it so it had no chance of getting into the trailer… YUCK. I turn my head for a second and lost track of it OMG>>> what if it is one me… Todd is back to save the night!!!!! He sprays it with spider spray you would think the thing would start to die NOPE… mutant spider so we knock it on the ground and Todd gets the lighter and bug spray and killed it to a crisp. I am relieved knowing that it will not crawl on me or get in the trailer…

Do not think I am a harsh person I am scared to death of spiders especially one that Todd could not identify he is a know it all lol.. I have attached pictures they are not very good (NO i did not get this close to take them!!! ) Does anyone know what this spider is??? Just thinking about it gives me the creeps!!!!  IMG_20140823_215007  IMG_20140823_214918IMG_20140823_214946

Rain Rain Go Away :-(

Ugh…. Thunder, lightning and buckets of rain is what we woke up to this morning. Todd has to finish a job that he started for Ken and Edie last week but he can not do it in the rain so we decided that we would sleep in some. As we lay there it gets worse, heavier rain to the point that it is coming in our window that are crank out so rain should not be coming in. I look outside and I could not even see our neighbors that are about 50 feet from us. a bright flash of lightning lights up the trailer and what follows was a long loud rumble of thunder scared Sammie and Cosmo to death they nearly crawled inside our body lol… We fall back asleep until about 10:30 and when we wake up there is blue sky’s I will not complain because I am so over the rain that every time it rains I want to cry.

So we start to move around get some coffee Todd makes breakfast pancakes and bacon YUMMY!!!! get in the shower and get ready to head down to the gate house to finish the project that we have started. We walk out of the house and the sky starts to get dark all we can do is hope for no rain. Get the saw out and start working Todd says to ken “thought we were going to get rained out there for a minute” Edie says “oh it is going to rain again this afternoon” way to think positive Edie I just want the rain to stay away for 19 more days when we get to off this mountain. On the computer and get to talking to Edie our fellow host down in group said  lightning hit so close to their trailer this morning that buzz said it felt like it was coming threw the window. It fried their 30 AMP electric box and they have no electric right now someone will be by today to fix it we are just glad everyone is ok and no one got hurt. I did not realize that the storm was that bad but apparently it was .

Rain rain stay away never come back this way!!! hoping the warm sunshine will stay and dry up everything………..

Looking for a craft store!!

Today is our day off we and are heading to town to get some para-cord. I now have a new hobby making bracelets, belts, dog collars and much more. Heading to Abingdon, VA it is a decent size town but it does not have a craft store!!!! So we go to K-mart thinking maybe they will have craft's, well they had crayons, paint and pretty much everything but para-cord :-( So with a sad face we leave and get in the car Todd decides that we are going to go to Bristol we already drove 25 miles to get to Abingdon, VA what is another 7 miles to Bristol, VA/TN at least I know Wal-Mart has para-cord. :-)

Now Todd is afraid of Wal-mart. Not because the people, the sites you see or the things you hear while shopping because every time you step into the place no matter if you have one thing to buy or a list you ALWAYS SPEND WAY TO MUCH MONEY AND GET THINGS YOU DO NOT NEED. This time we put our blinders on lol.. walked right to the craft section and bought what I needed. Along the way we stopped in the beauty section had one other thing to grab and believe it or not we got out of Wal-mart with a total bill of $13.00 I think that is the best we have ever did.

We were hungry so we are trying to think on a budget what is good to eat under $15.00??? COOKOUT (www.cookout.com) This place was new to us, the first time we tried it was about 1 month ago and we have been back 6 times since. The menu consists of burgers, chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, pulled pork and so much more. There is a awesome deal called "cookout tray" it is $4.69 you get your choice of a burger, pulled pork, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches made either Cajun, spicy, or regular or chicken tenders. a choice of 2 sides they are not your regular sides you think of. hushpuppies, onion ring, fries, bacon wrap(never tried), slaw, quesadilla   chicken or beef and a few other things. For you drink you could get a soda, huge tea or pay $1.00 more and get one of their awesome milkshakes. They have over 50 flavors and if you do not see a mixture you like they will custom make one for you. (we have not tried their milkshakes but everyone that has RAVED about them!!) For 2 people to eat a "cook out tray" the total is $10.53 that is a AWESOME DEAL you can not even get McDonald's for that price anymore!!!

Heading home the sun is shining and that is a plus, I am so over the rain. We make it up the mountain no matter how many times we go up and down I am sooooo... ready to get off the mountain. Pull up the puppies are going crazy!!! saying "let me out let me out we have to pee" Todd hops out and I open my door. OUCH!!!!! apparently a huge HORNET flew up my shirt and stung me in my stomach.... OMG!!! I feel like I am going to die I fell out of the truck fell on the gravel and could not get in the trailer fast enough. Todd get ice and puts it on the sting. Now the last time I got stung by a bee I was allergic to it. I am panicking so I am hyper ventilating and  could not think straight. Balling my eyes out I am sure the neighbors can hear me but I cant help it.

Getting stung by a hornet is something I never thought would happen to me. Anyone who knows me knows that I HATE BUGS flying or not. I hear or see a bee with in 50 feet of me I am running for cover and begging someone "to kill the bug" I take a antihistamine and lay down with a the ice one it. That sucker hurts it eventually like 4 hours later stopped hurting. Now i am on a mission to buy a BEE SUIT LMAO I will wear it proud and never be stung again. I do not think Todd would allow me to buy one or be seen with me in one I would not care though!!!

Ugh...... Now the rest of the night was spent laying in bed watching TV because the sting spot still hurt. Now I know that I will not die being stung by a hornet but let me tell you I never want to be stung again!!!

Out to dinner with some friend’s

Tonight we decided that 6 of us camp host would go to town and get some dinner together. (Bob, Snookie, Buzz, Jackie and Todd and I) thought we should check out a little restaurant called “In The Country”  (they have a fish fry every Friday with Alaskan Pollack) it has a ice cream parlor attached to it you can grab dessert on the way out.

It was not what we expected when we walked in. It looks to be a old house converted into a restaurant very cute and quaint. You have to order your food at the counter when you walk in. They have burger’s on the menu salads, wraps, chicken tender, fried shrimp and much much more. For the size of the place the menu is perfect! After you order you can go find a seat and they will bring the food out to you. The seating is in what looks to be the room’s of the old house they kept it looking original I think it is so cute. (the floors even creek like the older houses do) We did not wait long for our food the only down fall was that we all paid separately so our food came out at different time’s. By the time Bob and Snookie Ordered Buzz and Jackie could have been done eating.

Buzz, Jackie, Todd and Bob all ordered the fish fry the whole reason we tried this place. it came with your choice of fries or chips, Slaw and hush puppies. The food was cooked perfectly the breading was light so you could still taste the fish. I tasted a piece of the fish to my taste it tasted bland but I do not eat fish so who am I to judge :-) lol… The pieces of fish were a decent size you had a choice from 2, 3 or 4 piece obviously there would be a price difference for more pieces. Snookie dared to be different she ordered a cheeseburger it came with fries. She said the cheeseburger was really good all the toppings were fresh and the meat seemed to be fresh not frozen. last but not least I always have to be different I ordered fried shrimp basket with fries. The shrimp to me were not cooked all the way and they were really greasy the breading was light as well but to my liking not enough seasoning.
The fish fry also came with hushpuppies as a side. The hushpuppies were very different from what we have had in the past when you think hushpuppies they are normally really dense and heavy these were to total opposite they were really light and airy when you bite into them they like dissolved in your mount. They had sugar added and on the coating which gave them a little bit of a sweeter bite everyone liked them except Todd he like’s them more dense.

After eating we went out a shopped around the gift area in the restaurant. They sell candles, scarf's, bracelets, Creeper Trail T-shirts,Sweat shirt and key chains all a reasonable price’s Jackie bought a scarf she feel in love with. They also sell fudge, although they did not have any made when we were there but the owner said if we came back the beginning of the week he would have some freshly made for us. Snookie was disappointed, she was looking forward to some good fudge. When we left we looked at the ice cream shop,  but we were all so stuffed we decided that ice cream was a no go.

The place was great we would go back again I would get something different. This was some of the best food we have had since we have been in Damascus
here is their Facebook page  if you would like to check out the place https://www.facebook.com/pages/In-The-Country/156967291068042?sk=photos_stream

Saw a deer heading into work

This morning we were headed down to the gatehouse as soon as we turn out of our camp loop we saw a young female deer. I am fascinated with deer I grew up in the city so seeing and standing about 5 feet from a deer watching it eat is amazing. She was not really scared I stood there and took like 30 pictures (yes I am a picture freak lol…) Here are some of the picture’s I got Enjoy!!

Surprise Birthday party for Buzz (host), Snookie (host) and Edie (Manager)

August 11th 2014

Today start out a dreary rainy day and I had to work at 10am. I drag myself out of bed on these rainy day’s I want to lay in bed and cuddle with Todd and the puppies. Get in the shower and get ready for work. 9:45 rolls around and I am still at the house watching shark week keep in mind that it is a 3 mile drive to the gatehouse. Todd shoe’s me out of the house so I will not be late my response was “you go work for me I want to watch Shark Week” I have been waiting for this and watching the commercial for a whole month. Of course he said “hell no” now go before you are late :-)

I hope in the truck and head down to the gate house at like 9:50am. I get down to the gatehouse and it was not raining down here at the current moment I was really happy about that. Get all the morning stuff ready count my drawer, get the weather up and look in the check out box to see who left already. Done now time to get on the computer for a few minutes. Melissa walk’s in and say’s “where is Snookie” my response was “oh $hi& I forgot to pick her up” good thing Snookie found it funny that I forgot her. Bob brings her down since it is a rainy day we sit in the gatehouse joke around and play on our computer’s

while we are playing on our computer’s we get news that there is a meeting this morning……Our agenda for this meeting is to get it over ASAP because we need to get Edie to the bank with the deposit so we can decorate for the surprise party!!!!. The meeting is moving along still no rain which make me really happy because we are sitting outside at this point and we are going to have the surprise party outside. We start talking about all way’s to make checking people in and out easier and more efficient. Here comes a BEE I am terrified of these things so in the middle of the meeting with no warning I am up out of my chair running around screaming like a little girl because the damn BEE wanted to chase me. Little sucker come bother me now I have a fly swatter HA!!!! 2 hours later (12 noon) and 3 Bee chases later the meeting is over and I am back in the gatehouse with the door’s closed to no bee’s can find me :-)

Edie love’s to talk we are saying everything to make her leave so we can get the decorating started. Every time she stopped to talk it was 15 mins finally around 12:45 she said “I am out of here” as soon as we see her driving down the road we go get the decorations and we start decorating. Melissa went up to her home to get the cakes yes cakes we had three birthday in the month of July and August so we are really throwing the surprise party for Snookie and Buzz as well but they have not idea either. They think the party is just for Edie. We are just about finished decorating and the sky’s opened up and just dumped rain like it has never rained before. We have 2 easy up’s up but water is still getting on everything. Now we are playing the waiting game since we are finished we just have to wait for Edie to get back. The rain keeps coming not letting up. BLAH I am sooooooo over this rain I need sunshine.

About 3pm we see Edie’s car pulling in so we all gather under the easy up. Todd pop’s open his umbrella and escorts her to the party. we all yell “SURPRISE” she is so happy and could not believe what we had planned. The rain is coming down real hard but about 5 minutes into the party the rain gave up and was a sprinkle. Long enough for us all to sing Happy Birthday to Edie, Buzz and Snookie. we had to half sheet cakes and a HUGE carrot cake that was special for Edie Ken went 40 miles to buy that cake for her. Now that is love <3 There is only 13 of us Host and manager’s here boy do we have A LOT OF CAKE TO EAT!!!!! The party is winding down and we are starting to clean up and the sky’s open up again and dump more rain on us. At least it let us get through the party without being soaked. overall it was a great day (minus the rain) Happy Birthday Edie, Buzz and Snookie and many many many more to come!!!!!

Happy 70th Birthday Smokey Bear it’s a party

Aug 9th 2014
Today was Smokey’s 70th  Birthday party.

We went around the campground and gathered everyone we could to come celebrate Smokey Bear’s 70th birthday. We made him a huge card and everyone that joined us for the party signed it.  Smokey bear was late to his own party but, that is the only way to arrive to your own party in my opinion. :-) He walked up to the party all the kids and adults were taking pictures of him. Smokey sat down in his chair (he is 70) so we could take individual pictures with him. the kids were having a blast with the photos and the adults were to.

Our seasonal activity instructor read the story of how Smokey bear was found. The book had a lot of pictures and it was an awesome story Smokey was playing along with the story which the kids loved that. At the end of the story Smokey asked us to repeat his famous phrase “only you can prevent wildfires” we even had to point our finger like Smokey everyone including the adults joined in it was a riot!. Even though it is his birthday he is just so thankful that a human rescued him from the forest fire when he was younger(find the story of Smokey Bear http://www.smokeybear.com/vault/rescued.asp )

Smokey wanted to thank everyone for coming and gave away gift bags with pencil’s with a Smokey bear pencil grip, glow sticks and some information and coloring books for all the children to have fun with.

We had cake and ice cream, but of course we have to sign HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Smokey, everyone joined in.  Some lingered around the play ground other’s went back to their camp sites. Smokey was tired and he has had a long day so he left we said our goodbyes and happy birthday’s again. We had such a great time the card that was signed will go to Smokey' once we know everyone signed it. Happy 70th Birthday Smokey Bear “only you can prevent wildfire’s”
