Leaving On Our Next Journey!!!

On Thursday October 30th we left Campbellsville KY and headed south to Crawfordville, FL to visit Todd’s sister. We get on the road and we are happy initially because we see flat land well so much for the here come the huge F#$%ing hills and mountains. Our truck is sucking up the gas because these huge hills OH NO…. it does not feel like we are getting anywhere which apparently we were not lol  We only went 200 miles on day one, mostly because we were not in a hurry.  We stayed at a campground call Point Mallard in Decatur Alabama. (pics to follow)  it was a real nice place, big wooded sites, a water park, batting cages and a golf course. It was only $27 for full hook ups and are pet friendly. We were all hooked up and ready to relax and Todd decided well hey lets point the dish so we could watch our shows tonight. HAHAHA easier said then done. the site we were in had some tree’s in the way long story short he spent about 3 hours we lined everything up and then would loose it finally he gave up. We went to get a pizza for dinner getting back and looked at our phones to check the time mine said 6:30 Todd’s Said 5:30 uh oh… we are in a different time zone what time is it… Central time we gained an hour woo hoo…. After dinner we relaxed and caught up on some of our DVR shows since Todd could not get the dish pointed lol.. In bed ready to go to sleep We talked about staying a couple of days but we haven't seen my sister in a while and were excited about getting back to Florida.
After getting hooked up we were looking forward to some flat land as we have been in mountainous areas since the beginning of summer, well that didn't happen until southern Alabama and it killed our gas mileage.Right as we get on the road I flip through the radio to find a channel and guess what I find CHRISTMAS MUSIC….. Driving down the road on Halloween listening to Christmas Music how crazy is that lol. We finally got to some flattish land and saw a huge improvement in the mileage.  We also found fuel at one of those times were you need to stop at the next exit or else for $2.68..bonus.OH HEY BIRMINGHAM,AL please fix your damn road (I65 S) sincerely a full-time rver… These roads were horrible shake rattle and roll literally. GEESH I feel like we shook everything in the trailer apart and everything in the truck. We are so glad to get out Birmingham, AL soon after that we see flat land YAHOO>>>>>>> better gas mileage and smoother ride is ahead. It feels like we are moving today the pups are riding well today just sleeping the day away makes for less pee pee stops lol… but the moment they wake you gotta find a pee pee stop IMMEDIATLY lol..We get to FL and could not be happier our last turn onto their road we missed hahah we were looking for a road and it was a driveway we turned into the next road DEAD END and boy it was a small road it took a lot of turns and maneuvers to turn around 10 minutes later we are turned around and we arrived just as it was getting dark and my sister and her husband were great, they had a good spot already waiting for us with electricity and water, we were also able to hook into their satellite with a splitter so we didn't have to line up our dish.
