OK so after Christmas tree's we were supposed to trade our truck and trailer for a 35 foot class A....... Well that did not happen. We went to make the trade and we found out that the class A was to far gone to even remodel plus it needed all new tires right off the bat and that was not something we wanted to put money into right now. To make it drive able we needed to work on it for like a week and the location it was in was not some place you want to work on a vehicle for a long period of time. We decided that we would head up to my sister in-laws in Crawfordville, FL spend some time with them since we missed family for Christmas and we would continue our search for a bigger rig here.
OH I am supposed to give you a brief summary of how selling Christmas tree's was... So here we go. We started out on a new lot that was not making any money for the first week so we were a little down and out. We received a call from the owner that was requesting us to move to a busier lot because the manager needed to leave for an emergency. YIPPY we happily moved and they closed our old lot down. Boy were they right this lot was so busy we could not believe the difference. We had a great group of lot helpers and we could not have finished the season without them. We made a life long friend named Kevin who we hope that when we go back next year that he will be able to work for us again. We ate out EVERY NIGHT... when you are working 14 hour days there is really no time to cook. Trust me we thought when we first started that we would be able or want to cook food..... WE WERE WRONG once we closed the night we were pooped and all we wanted to do was hit the bed and sleep. Sonic was right next to our lot so needless to say we ate a lot of Sonic now I hate the thought of Sonic and never want to eat there again until we go back next year LOL... Yes I said 14 hour days.. and if you are going to break the money down and look at what you are making per day per hour you will think it is not worth your time to some of you however we were there for the money but we were also there for the experience and since Christmas is my favorite holiday what better thing to do then sell tree's and help all the families find their perfect tree. So it may seem like a long day and a lot of hours but it was the best time we have had made great friends and worked for the best group of people Hart T Tree Farms. It was our first year and they just made sure we had everything we needed made sure we knew what we were doing and helped us in every way they could we could call on them anytime of the day and they were sure to answer even though they were dealing with other lots as well. The only down side was it is over Todd's Birthday, Thanksgiving and Christmas but we just figured we would celebrate Christmas after Christmas and it would just be peachy lol..
Now we are back in Northern FL it is COLD up here I wish I was still in Southern, FL where it was warm. We are searching for our BIGGER rig.. we are not in a rush since we can stay here as long as we need so we are going to find the perfect one. Our course we are looking at Class A's and Fifth wheels but we are not sure what we will be getting until the perfect one jumps our and says live in me hahah but until then we are still in our TT happy as could be I am sure going to miss it when it is gone since it is the rig we started our adventure of full-timing in it will always hold a special place in our hearts. OH and I am getting a new camera for a belated Christmas gift since mine is broke again then I will start posting lots of awesome fun pictures again. Well stay tuned over the next few weeks or months to see what we choose and what we do. Christmas Tree selling season was awesome now we are relaxing.... Merry Belated Christmas and hope the New Year Treats you well.... :-)
