Finally we have a new rig!!

Our great little camper is gone, its bitter sweet I am going to miss it since it was what we started the adventure in.  We had a great time with it over the last year but it kinda got small.

So our new home is a 30 ft fifth wheel, its a 98 gulfstream with a super slide,  its in great shape both inside and out.   The only issue was the ugly baby blue carpet in the main living space, its gone and we now have a new laminate floor and boy does it make a difference. I also hated the window boxes I guess that's what you want you call them. We bought new fabric and have slowly started to cover them pictures will be posted so see the before and after of all the remodels we have completed. One thing Todd will not let me do is paint is crazy colors like our first one :-(

This new rig did come with one BIG question will our 98 dodge 5.4 ltr 2 wheel drive pull it. We will see!!! Updates on this one will come shortly as we leave for South Dakota very soon.

The dogs love the new rig they have a lot more room to run and play plus we have lowered the dinette table and made it a bed and that is now the dogs area to play, sleep, do whatever they want OH and Spankie kitty shares that area as well.

I still do not have a closet big enough for all my shoes, but they are safe and sound under the bed. We have gained more storage space but we lost the back of the truck because it's a fifth wheel so we need to reconfigure how we travel with all our things but it will all come together when we are packing up to head out.

Happy and Sad News

I come home from work and Todd informs me that we received a call from the owners of the campground we are managing stating that he has a potential buyer for the campground good news for them sad news for us.

We are so happy here and love managing this park and watching it grow and get better. The possible new owner will not need our services since he has his own crew so now we are searching for a new job for the summer.

The potential buyer shows up and absolutely loves the park and personally who wouldnt and informs us that they are buying the place :-) / :-( now we really need to find a place we were not going to look until we knew for sure but now that we got the news we are on the hunt,

2 days into our hunt we got in contact with crooked creek resort in hill city,SD here is a link to their page www.crookedcreeksd.com we talked to them sent a resume and references and within a hour we have a new job for the summer and we could not be more excited. It is a place I have never been to Todd on the other hand has spent some time there since we rode Harley's and Sturgis is there but I am so excited to get there and see all the fantastic fun thing to do.If you have any suggestions of places to see or go contact me on Facebook I would love to hear of all the places to see and things to do.

We are sad to leave here but excited to head on our next adventure. We start May 15 2015 and we will probably leave here end of April since we can check into the park as early as May 1st 2015. This could not be a better place since we need to be in ND for the Sugar Beet harvest in Sept and ironically enough that is when this job we expected ends could not be anymore perfect!!!

We are so happy that the current owners have sold the park and it was a pleasure working with them and meeting them and we wish them all the luck in the future thanks for letting us manage it for the short time!!! :-)

New Camera And A Headache

I could not have been happier with my birthday gift my new camera. All the pictures I took on my birthday were taken with this fantastic camera it is waterproof dust proof and shock proof just what I need because it always takes a beating with me dropping it. I have had it for two days and have not tried to figure out how to work the WiFi until Sunday morning to upload all the photos I had taken.

Here comes the headache the dame WiFi will not work and that is the whole reason hubby bought me this camera. We are a little annoyed with the fact that is does not work. We read all the directions downloaded everything that needed to be downloaded and it still does not work. However hubby did find this awesome feature on the camera that I love love love.....color pop....here are some of the pictures that were taken with the color pop feature

Sad enough we had to take the camera back because it was not working. In small town Hugo they did not have another on like the one I got and they did not have any other good camera's there with WiFi so now i am searching for the perfect camera that work lmao... So now I am back to my repaired camera still love it but am searching for the new one like I have been for almost a year now lol...But it did take AMAZING PICTURES!!!

MY Birthday Weekend

March 14th 1987 My Mom gave birth to a fantastic person........ME

Its my birthday and of course I took off work and made it A BIRTHDAY WEEKEND. My hubby has been battling with himself on what to buy me for my birthday and I could not even think of what he would be buying me. I get home from work on Friday the 13th (btw it is my mothers favorite day) and hubby tells me I must wait in the car while he gets everything ready to start off my Birthday weekend. Finally I get to go in and he has the place all decorated and cupcakes with candles and the flames change color I was so happy. I blew out all the candles in one shot so my wish should come true right??!!! lol..

The brings my gift and boy does my hubby know me well.. the bag in pink and sparkly with pink confetti in it with pink tissue paper it was the perfect bag and if there would have been nothing in it I would have been happy with just the bag LMAO....shhh lets not tell him that tho haha

I open it up and there is a brand new camera!!!!! WOOO HOOO... and it is WiFi capable that is the best so I can just upload all my photos and post them to my blog easier... I open it and start taking pictures right away!!!! oh and give him a great big hug and kisses!!!after that we relax a few then head to the casino. Yes the casino was super busy and could not hardly get on machines and I waited forever to get on a poker table and never did but we had a BLAST!!!! and this was just one night of my birthday weekend...:-)

Saturday my actual birthday we woke up really early and headed to a bigger town Paris,TX there are a few places I wanted to see there and just wanted to get out of the little towns that we are in in OK. Of course it was raining on my birthday on and off but I was not going to let that ruin my day at all... we went and checked out the Eiffel Tower Texas style I will posted some pictures I just wish it would have been a little bigger then it was but it was still awesome! Then we just explores the downtown square of Paris,TX. In a new town I wanted to  research a unique place to eat for lunch... I found this awesome little burger joint do not judge it from the outside or the neighborhood YOU MUST GO IN AND EAT THERE... the place is called Burger Land here is a link to their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Burgerland-Paris-Texas/267820064259
They have amazing burgers and fries...... be warned only order a small fry it could feed a family of 4 trust me I will show a picture of the small fry lol... yummy I recommend you eat there anytime heading through Paris,TX

After we ate and we walked out I saw a bingo behind burgerland.....I love me some bingo so I said lets go check the prices for a later date since it was around 3:30 bingo normally does not run around those times.... Walked in and what are the chances a session has just started and you better of bet we played lol... Almost done the last game Todd asked me "14 or 15" I said 14 of course because it's my birthday well I get the card and the card number was 314 how crazy and ironic was this... oh an it is my favorite game the "quickie" BINGO!!!! I win on the last game with the car number 314 and It was 3/14 I asked the lady if I could keep the card she said "No" so I took a picture of it I will post it.

I had a great birthday and I still have one more day to celebrate ;-)

Sawyer,Oklahoma

I am going to catch up on everything since I have last posted which I know is some time ago lol...

We left FL and headed to Sawyer,Oklahoma to manager Sawyer RV Park we could not be happier to get on the road again after a brief resting period from selling Christmas Tree's. We made it to Sawyer,OK beginning of Feb and started managing the park Feb 11th. We are so excited to be here and bring this place back to life. If you are not familiar with this area is it really small town 10 miles away from Hugo,OK. A lot of fisherman come her because of the big lake Hugo and there are great places to put your Rv as well ;-)

When we arrived here the weather was gorgeous sunny skies and warm I was so happy. Well after being here for a little over 3 weeks the forecast had changed RAIN RAIN RAIN.... oh wait and SNOW... now if you have not followed my blog I LOVE SNOW but cant drive in it to save my life. When I saw we were going to get snow I COULD NOT CONTAIN MYSELF. One night we got maybe an inch over night and I woke up to see it just in time because the next day it warmed up so quick it melted within the hour. Before it melted I did mange to get Cosmo outside and have him experience his first snow ever!! He was so cute kind of looking at it like "what is this stuff its cold" type of look but then he loved playing in it. The next week the forecast was calling for 3-5 inches of snow and boy did it snow it layed and it was so pretty but it also came with sleet and freezing rain everything was frozen. Being the crazy weather here in OK it warmed  up and melted almost everything with 3 hours of me being awake I was just so happy to be able to see it and play in it with the puppies and not have to drive it in ;-)

Now that I have seen snow and had TONS of rain I am just ready for the sun to shine and I can soak it up... My skin if feeling sun deprived lol...BRING ON THE SUN OKLAHOMA!!!

While managing the RV park is awesome it is very small and not a whole lot to do for me I went and got a part-time job so I did not drive Todd crazy with being bored. I am a assistant manager at the local KFC if you are driving through Hugo,OK stop in and say hello lol... Todd basically manages the RV park himself and he loves it and we have brought this place back to life for sure and we are so proud of ourselves. Todd has designed and created new signs for the road signs they look AWESOME!! Todd also designed and maintains the new website for Sawyer RV Park check it out at www.sawyerrvpark.com I will also post a picture of the new sign he designed.

Searching For A Bigger Rig

OK so after Christmas tree's we were supposed to trade our truck and trailer for a 35 foot class A....... Well that did not happen. We went to make the trade and we found out that the class A was to far gone to even remodel plus it needed all new tires right off the bat and that was not something we wanted to put money into right now. To make it drive able we needed to work on it for like a week and the location it was in was not some place you want to work on a vehicle for a long period of time. We decided that we would head up to my sister in-laws in Crawfordville, FL spend some time with them since we missed family for Christmas and we would continue our search for a bigger rig here.

OH I am supposed to give you a brief summary of how selling Christmas tree's was... So here we go. We started out on a new lot that was not making any money for the first week so we were a little down and out. We received a call from the owner that was requesting us to move to a busier lot because the manager needed to leave for an emergency. YIPPY we happily moved and they closed our old lot down. Boy were they right this lot was so busy we could not believe the difference. We had a great group of lot helpers and we could not have finished the season without them. We made a life long friend named Kevin who we hope that when we go back next year that he will be able to work for us again. We ate out EVERY NIGHT... when you are working 14 hour days there is really no time to cook. Trust me we thought when we first started that we would be able or want to cook food..... WE WERE WRONG once we closed the night we were pooped and all we wanted to do was hit the bed and sleep. Sonic was right next to our lot so needless to say we ate a lot of Sonic now I hate the thought of Sonic and never want to eat there again until we go back next year LOL... Yes I said 14 hour days.. and if you are going to break the money down and look at what you are making per day per hour you will think it is not worth your time to some of you however we were there for the money but we were also there for the experience and since Christmas is my favorite holiday what better thing to do then sell tree's and help all the families find their perfect tree. So it may seem like a long day and a lot of hours but it was the best time we have had made great friends and worked for the best group of people Hart T Tree Farms. It was our first year and they just made sure we had everything we needed made sure we knew what we were doing and helped us in every way they could we could call on them anytime of the day and they were sure to answer even though they were dealing with other lots as well.  The only down side was it is over Todd's Birthday, Thanksgiving and Christmas but we just figured we would celebrate Christmas after Christmas and it would just be peachy lol..

Now we are back in Northern FL it is COLD up here I wish I was still in Southern, FL where it was warm. We are searching for our BIGGER rig.. we are not in a rush since we can stay here as long as we need so we are going to find the perfect one. Our course we are looking at Class A's and Fifth wheels but we are not sure what we will be getting until the perfect one jumps our and says live in me hahah but until then we are still in our TT happy as could be I am sure going to miss it when it is gone since it is the rig we started our adventure of full-timing in it will always hold a special place in our hearts. OH and I am getting a new camera for a belated Christmas gift since mine is broke again then I will start posting lots of awesome fun pictures again. Well stay tuned over the next few weeks or months to see what we choose and what we do. Christmas Tree selling season was awesome now we are relaxing.... Merry Belated Christmas and hope the New Year Treats you well.... :-)

After Christmas Tree's

The Christmas tree selling season is almost over and we are excited to hit the road again. We are going to be spending Christmas at the casino it is kind of our tradition since most of the time we are in a state were we do not have family in. Once we are finished relaxing for a few days and sleeping as long as we want we are off to get our class A. Nothing fancy it is a 1988 we are trading for our TT and our truck for the 35 foot class A. It is going to need some remodeling and that is what we do best so we are going to be spending some time at my sister-in laws house in Tallahassee we are so excited to spend more time with her and her husband. While we are there me and Todd will be taking a day to ourselves no pups just me and hubby time in Jacksonville visiting some friends for the night since my sister in law loves my puppies so much and will watch them for us (hopefully). It will be some much needed time for him and I and bed space lol.. For anyone who has three or more pets you know what I am talking about but I would not change it for the world just a night alone every once in a while is needed.

Once we are all finished remodeling our class A we are hitting the road to visit my family in MD!!!!! WOO HOOO... the only problem with this is I am having trouble finding a campground that is not outrageously expensive for a month and that allows longer then a 14 day stay. I did not think it would be this hard to find a place but it is. I do not want to spend $700-800 dollars plus electric for a month I am not trying to be cheap or anything and this trip is a unexpected trip so trying to save as much money as possible. If anyone reading this knows of a campground maybe on not top of the line in or around the Baltimore area please let me know its not like we will be spending a lot of time there just need hookups for sleeping and all.. Well I am off because I have customers on the lot wanting to buy a tree...
