We Find A New Place We Like We Just Move

Tuesday and it is our weekend we decided to go explore the state park knowing that this is another one of Amazon's approved campground I was excited to see what it looked like. It is only about 1 1/2 drive from our current campground.

We start driving into the park and all you see if the lake. OMG it is beautiful!!! I want to move!!! The whole time we are walking around the lake and the campground all I keep telling Todd is "I want to move" "we need to stay here" "it is beautiful here please let's move" He kept saying "are you sure" but in the back of his mind he was saying "HELL NO" "WE ARE NOT MOVING AGAIN" I begged and pleaded and kept pointing at the lake and soon after I MADE THE DECISION TO MOVE....regardless of what Todd wanted or not :-)

We went to the campground store and asked what spots were open to workcampers for Amazon. We went back to the campground and walked to every site and looked at the pro's and con's and we finally decided on site 41 we are 4 sites from the lake. Right now we can not get lake front right now because until OCT 31st the have most of their sites reserved for a HUGE Halloween party they have in the camp ground..... This means I get to decorate and dress up for Halloween YAY!!!

After we picked out our spot we had to go to the office and let them know that we are with Amazon and that we are moving. WOOO HOOO I am so excited we are all ready to go and we are moving tomorrow.......:-) I also emailed Jen at Amazon Todd will be letting the current campground know that we are leaving. Now all the is left is to pack up....

Feeling Some What Better

This morning I am feeling some what better but still not 100% but better then I was the past few days....Off to count we go... I def am not a huge fan of counting after stowing yesterday this made me want to switch positions really bad. They told us yesterday that it was a one day thing stowing just to cross train us so I was pretty disappointed :-( Morning meeting and stretches we are counting in the L MOD. The vents were open and the HUGE "BIG ASS FANS" were on yes that is their real name big ass fans lol.. everyone was freezing me on the other hand I was sweating hopefully sweating out this damn sickness haha. Some water started coming out of the vents so she moved all of us to MOD N this MOD is very small and only needs like 2 people counting it. I was in the aisle at all times with 2 or 3 other ICQA people it was crazy and it made the job harder.

Just before break our manager walks us to me and says hey you guys are going to go back to stowing after break YIPPY!!!!!!!!! I am super excited now the day will fly by for some reason when I am counting all day I just look at the clock and the time drags..... We get over to stowing and everyone is glad to see us back. We started stowing on J MOD let me tell you this MOD is small for just a person to walk down the aisle so with the huge juice carts and pickers running you do a lot squeezing and moving it make the day interesting :-) BTW... I am so over ninja turtle actions figures I must have stowed 50 of each kind and there are like 8 different kind makes for finding bins hard it will not let you place "like" items in the same bin and you are not supposed to place "like" items next to each other most people do not follow that rule tho.

Lunch rolls around and I ate so yummy pineapple... I know its random lol..but it was so good I could have eaten a whole pineapple but I did not bring all of it with me haha.. Back to work and we are finished everything that needed to be stowed on we go find our manager and we sends us to K MOD much bigger and better over here we are stowing a lot of BIG toys. Most of the big bins for these are on the top shelves :-( I did not have a stool I did a lot of scooting on my butt finding all the big bins that I could find on the very bottom row. My butt is dirty LMAO....

At the end of the day I have decided that since they will not switch me to picking because apparently everyone wants that I am going to talk to the stowing manager and ICQA manager on Friday about switching to stowing permanently. I am not sure if Todd wants to switch but I love stowing so much better and it make the days go by much faster then counting.

Still Sick... I am SOOOO Over it!!!!

I went to work spite still being sick. Today we start cross training in stowing I am so excited but my face and my expression do not show it because I am sick :-( The manage for stowing was not ready for us 1st thing so we counted for 1 hour. Then Daniel the manager of stowing came and got us explained a few things and put us with his best stower and our ambassador Christine. She is great at what she does she taught us everything we needed to know in about an hour. We pretty much knew everything about the bins we just needed to learn the processes for stowing. the processes are simple if you ask me plus they give you cheat cards to hang behind you name badge our lanyard looks like some people that have been working there for years with all the cards on them :-)

After Christine showed us everything she set us off on our own!!! YAY!!! I am so excited I got through a whole cart they call them juice carts before break which was about 30 minutes I feel like I am going to love this job so much more then ICQA. We take break and after break we get to be on our own not under training lets do this!!!! I am rolling through these carts this is so much easier them ICQA if you ask me. You get to choose where the product goes as long as there is room in the bin. If there are already 6 barcodes in the bin it will not let you put the product there. For example if you are tall like Todd most of his product goes on the top 3 shelves me being shorts mine goes on the bottom 3 shelves and there are not rules against that. We can move freely all over the floor and MOD that you are on so you are moving a lot more then in ICQA.

Lunch time rolls around and I am really feeling nauseous and dizzy after lunch I feel a little better to I continue working. About 12:30 the supervisor comes around and tells us that we need to go back to ICQA NOOOOOOO>>>>> BOOOOOOOO>>>>> do not make me go back I dislike it over there.... :-( He says we did well that if they need help we will be the first ones pulled over WOO HOO......now I myself back to ICQA BLAH!!! I am really feeling sick now luckily it was break time I talked to Todd and let him know that I was going to leave early.

I go home and go to sleep setting and alarm so I remember to go back and pick up Todd. Time rolls around to go back and pick him up all the dogs beg me with their eyes "take me with you mommy" Being sick and all I load up 3 pups and off to get daddy we go. They patiently wait for him to walk out the door and once he does they go hog wild for their daddy!!!

Scentsy!!

Before we started full-timing I sold Scentsy for a second form of income. I was not really doing it for the money I was doing it for my love of the product and the company. I have just now decided to reactivate my account since we are full-timing and I have more time to focus on it this time around. I have my warmer that I use in my trailer all the time.It uses a low wattage light bulb it is really good because I have a huge fear of open flames in my house for candles. I have pets and I do not have to worry about them getting burned or knocking it over. They also have a warmer that does not use a light bulb at all I believe it is called the zen warmer. All though their wax and warmers are what they are famous for they also have a laundry care line that I recommend to anyone it leaves you clothes smelling so good. They also have lotions, room sprays, body sprays, scent buddies and much much more.

I love a lot of the scents but I have to be very careful what I bring in the house because Todd can not take overpowering, flowery and or powdery scents. I burn fruity most of the the time they just discontinued my favorite Bora Bora Blossom.... I am on a search to find anyone who as a bar of that.

My goal this time around it to sell online through my website ,maybe craft shows or at campgrounds that I show up to if rules permit. Once I am up and going for anyone who is more interested in the company and or product I will post my website on here and also feel free to contact me with any questions.

I have to thank Sharin Corbin for bringing my passion back for Scentsy she is my new Sponsor and I am so excited to work with her to launch again. I have learned so much from her in the one day that we talked then from my old sponsor's who I signed up with the first time around that it made me want to give another try at it.

To Work Or Not To Work Is The ?

Today I woke up still not feeling 100%. Todd tells me that I look like crap (thanks babe I love you to) that I should stay home from work and get better. I guess all the sleeping I did yesterday did not really do anything. I put my robe on and sit and contemplate weather I should go in or not. I can not find the attendance hotline number that we have to call out on. I emailed my HR rep but she had not gotten back to me by 5:15 am I guess I am going to work. I get dressed in a hurry Todd walks in from taking the dogs out and get upset with me because I am going to work and I should not be. I know I am a stubborn donkey when it comes to staying home from work when I am sick and he hates that about me.

Get to work and I still do not have the number to the attendance hotline it is a good thing I came in today. We get to the morning meeting and our manager approaches us and ask us if we would like to cross train on stowing..... Todd does not speak for a few seconds I speak up and say I would like to try it, then Todd says "what the hell why not"tomorrow we will be stowing...I am excited it will be something different. We find out that today all operations will shut down at 3 pm and get VTO because they are having a family fun night to celebrate their 15 year anniversary Woo Hoo we get to leave early again today. I am hoping that one more day of rest will get me over this sickness.

Working along counting in the B building today we are not working weekend cleanup but we are not doing checkerboard which is OK with me. Around 10:15 am we get a message on our scanner that say's "VTO now if you would like it" I dismiss this thought because we were so close to lunch and we were already leaving at 3 today. I head to lunch Todd walks up to me and said he is taking VTO... I am game. Off to my bed to relax hopefully tomorrow I will feel much better.....Apparently there is a stomach bug going around Amazon a few other employee's have it not good I am pretty sure that is what it have :-(

UGH!!! Not Such A Great Day!!!

Yesterday I woke up feeling kind of out of it but since it was our 1st day to work this week I figured I would give it a try. Not paying attention this morning caused me to put my underwear on backwards (I know TMI) and my shirt on backwards. I started the car and instead of putting it in reverse like I do every morning I wanted to drive into our trailer OMG!!! that would not be a good idea. We made it to work and I am dreading today.

I get to counting and we are not on checkerboard thank goodness.I feel like I am running on zombie mode not knowing what I am doing just doing what I should be. I counted a bin and it should have 14 items in it i punched 814 AHHHH>>>>> I really should have stayed home today. Break time rolls around no VTO yet and I know I said we would never take it again but we have been during this month because once we get our business back that we shipped off to help open up another fulfillment center we will be getting busy and get OT to make up for this VTO. Lunch time comes Todd takes a smoke break and he said you can learn a lot from sitting out in the smoking area. he comes in and says after lunch at the meeting they will be offering VTO!!! YAY I really just want to go home and sleep.

We get to the meeting and we hear anything new that is going on. We start to do our stretches then the 3 magic letters were announced VTO ANYONE... My hand was the first one up YES!!! my bed is calling my name I'll be there in 10 minutes... I get home ate something for lunch then took a nap with Todd. Todd woke up after 3 hours he must have been really tired as well. I was still sleeping. Dinner time rolled around he left to get dinner I was still sleeping. He woke me up to eat dinner (I do not remember eating dinner) and he told me I went right back to sleep. Hoping all this sleep will cure the sickness that I have :-(

Our 3 Days Off!!

Our 3 days off were nothing fantastic this time around. The first day we kind of just moseyed around the trailer did not care what time we got ready we did not have anything really planned. We eventually did go to the store to get a few things we needed and as always when you go to Wal-mart you also come out with things that you do not need lol... Then we just went back to camp and spent the rest of the day with our animals.

The second day I woke up with what looked to be a rash. HMMMM my skin hates everything but I wonder what this could be from. I started thinking that it may be from the new laundry product I bought. I guess a trip to the laundry mat is in our future with stuff I know I can use and not break out with a rash. Todd woke up and made pancakes and sausage for breakfast I showed him the rash by now it is everywhere. Come to think of it I have had little itchy bumps everywhere since the last time we hiked... WAIT OH NO>>>>>>>> I have poison ivy or poison oak...AHHHHHHH. This is going to be a nightmare guess where we get to go.....to the store for some calamine lotion and spray... Holy Crap do I itch. While we are out we also get this great idea for a storage option in the trailer milk crates. Above our bed since we do not have a lot of closet space there is what supposed to be another twin bed that folds down. We keep that permanently folded down and our cloths are up there. Todd hates that it is always cluttered looking he comes up with this great idea of milk crates together and it will keep some organization up there. We found a great deal $1.80 for milk crates at a flea market SCORE....The rest of the day was me spraying myself all day and night and repeating to myself "do not itch, do not itch,....DO NOT ITCH.... AHHHHH" Todd built the milk crates and I organized the cloths and he was right it looks so much better up there.

Our last day off was laundry day... woo hoo.... I am excited cant you tell lol.. Even tho I know what my rash is I still buy the correct laundry products so in case it may also be that. We get to the laundry mat at about 11 am thinking that it will not be that crowded. Boy were we wrong but who cares lets get this over with. 2 loads done and one still in the wash our new bed spread and sheets. We pull this out  I do not think the washer was working because it was soaked water was pouring out of it. We decided that we needed to wash it again to get all the water out otherwise we will just be paying out the wooza to dry it like that. We stick in the only other washer open at this point and another $2.75 down the drain lol.. 27 minutes later we pull it out WHAT WAIT .... it is still dripping wet WTF>>> do these washers not work. Here goes another load we wait for a different washer to open a bigger better one. $4.00 in and another 27 minutes to waste. It is done fingers crossed that it worked this time... >>>> WOOO HOO it worked now we can pop it in the dryer all the other cloths are folded and ready to go. 14 minutes later it is dry and we are happy. This time it is about 1 pm this took us an hour longer and $8.00 more then is should have. Lesson learned do not use the washer we used today ever again.

We get home with super clean cloths. Walk in the door to find that Pookie is throwing up and not feeling good. We let her outside and I make sure she is OK she looks fine we will keep a close watch on her I am not sure what she may have eaten to make her sick. clothes are put away now to relax OH can not forget "IT'S GAME TIME TONIGHT" New York Giants are going to put a beat down on the Washington Redskins..... You better believe I have my jersey on and Sammie has her jersey on as well. We are pumped and ready for game time. BRING IT ON!!!!

2nd 10 Hour Day Completed

This getting up early thing seems to be getting a little easier as time goes on. We have our morning routine going I get up get dressed, fix my hair and put my make up on while Todd takes the dogs out and drinks his coffee. This way we do not bump into each other then he gets dressed and I go eat breakfast this works great I am glad we have a routine now the first couple of days we did not and we were bumping into each other and fumbling around trying to figure out what we should be doing this early.

We walk in work this morning and in the break room is decorated with Happy Anniversary balloons and streamers. Amazon is celebrating their 15 year anniversary all this week. To the morning meeting we go there is no VTO as of now and if there was we would not be taking it lol.... our Kaizen www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kaizen score is 96 we improved from a 93 that's great!!! Now we will do our morning stretches. No one really takes these serious Todd and I do I feel they really help with out with our job. Off we go we are supposed to let our scanners lead us I hope that does not mean checkerboard lol.

10:30 am rolls around and guess what!!! I made it to lunch today go me go me.....!!! lol... At lunch we were told that for their 15 year anniversary there will be an assortment of ice cream in the freezer all week for us to enjoy... WOO HOO this is great except for I am lactose intolerant and I do not want to risk taking a dairy pill and eating ice cream while I work. Todd had 1 ice cream for lunch and 1 ice cream on our second break....

My personally opinion the workcampers that are here right now Amazon was not expecting us to be as fast as we were. The work they had given us was completed before right after lunch this left us getting messages from our manager on our scanner to be bounced around every where woo hoo. Todd counted his first pallet's yesterday, he advises to take a pen with you if you count pallets you may have to do some math you may not be able to do in your head lol..From bouncing around every where we have now counted in all the buildings. I feel like we have walked 20 miles today I wish we could wear pedometers to actually see what we are walking, but of course we can not because Amazon sell's them hahaha

our second day is completed and we start our weekend YAY!! we have off 3 days. They do not have Voluntary OT right now so we can not work if their was we would be working it.Todd said he would be upset because he wanted some days off but he will work any OT offered because we are working towards a new rig.

Hopefully the weather will be nice for our days off I see some hiking in our future and maybe go exploring surrounding towns.

Here is Todd enjoying the yummy ice cream!!

First 10 Hour Day In The Books

I have to admit getting up this morning at 4:45 am and knowing that we will not get home until 4:45 pm was a real bummer lol...Off to work we go dogs are all set with food, water AC and TV I wish I could have a dogs life all they do is lay around all day eat sleep and potty LMAO...

We get to work a little early so we have some time to sit and drink some coffee. A fellow work camper she asked us are we ready for the 10 hour days we said as ready as we can get haha. We get a 15 minute break at 8:30 am lunch at 10:30 and 15 minute break at 1:30 this will not be so bad.

We are doing clean up again love it. I finished my assignment in B building about 7:30 am. I was sent all the way over to the C building. I have never counted there so this will be a new adventure. I walk into that building it is so quite except for the forklifts honking their horns at walk ways. I was so in the zone about getting to where I was going that when he honked his horn it scared the crap out of me. I finally make it to where I am going geesh it is all the way in the back of building C I am all alone back here there is one other person and I think it is a picker.

I get to work and as soon as I start it is break time. Off to meet to me Todd is our meeting place since we are not working in the same area when we are doing clean up. Caramel and granny smith apples sliced is for snack time. Back to work we go only 8 more hours to go. Like I said in an earlier post I will loose myself once I get working. I loose track of time so much that I MISS LUNCH TIME since it was our first 10 hour day I did not remember when lunch was in my mind I am hoping for 1:30 pm to come so I can go to lunch. I thought 1:30 pm was a late lunch LMAO

Todd is at lunch at 10:30 am like we are supposed to be. He is waiting and waiting for me to show up he asked a few fellow worked if they have seen me of course no one has seen me I am in the C building all alone. I am working away around 10:30 am I realize that I am the only one working but it did not click into me that I missed lunch. As I am working I start to get really hungry and keep watching the clock for 1:30 to come so I can go to lunch (in my mind)

finally 1:30 is here and I am so hungry. I head to the lunch room which is so far away from the C building I leave 8 minutes before I am supposed to so I can have a break. I see Todd and all he could say was "where were you for lunch" "I was so worried about you" "I even checked in Amcare (medical office in Amazon) to see if you hurt yourself" My mouth dropped and boy was I really mad that I missed lunch I was so hungry that I needed to take a lunch anyway so I took my 30 minutes then and let HR know what a crazy mistake I made it was all good.

Talked to Todd for 15 minutes of his break and he said he was so worried about me. That the time from 10:30 am -1:30 went by really fast because he was only thinking about me and if I was OK... AWWW how sweet I am just fine just an airhead sometimes. Break is over for him and in 15 minutes I will head back to work. Only 2 hours and 30 minutes left I get back to my cart and I was logged out YAY maybe I will get back to the B building with everyone else. Yup i got back to the B building alright but stuck on checkerboard duty DAMN this makes the day go by so slow and I am not moving like I want to be BLAH these last few hours will now go really slow :-(

4:30 pm its quitting time WOO HOO we made it through our first 10 hour day with no problem. I am sure we will sleep like babies tonight. One more day of work this week and then we have 3 days off. I think these 10 hours days will be fine as long as I can move around and not sit in one place for a long period of time doing stupid checkerboard.

We Are Finished Our 5 Hour Days

I am so glad the 5 hours days are over I am so ready to get to the 10 hour days. All though it is nice getting off at 11 am and still have the rest of the day to do things but that will not get us our new rig lol..Working the I shift (Friday-Monday) is weird to us our weekend is going to be Tuesday-Thursday and our week is the weekend. While I am writing this I was thinking about what day it was and it hit me that it was Saturday I am all messed up with this shift lol.

We loved the job with our 5 hours days, give us a week with the 10 hour days and follow the posts and see if we still love it LMAO.. Todd said it is going to be tough he kinda got spoiled with the 5 hour days me on the other hand once I get counting I loose track of time bad.... I just hope I do not loose track of time that I forget to take my break or lunch. Todd will be hunting me down and believe me that will not be an easy task this place is HUGE!!! I could be anywhere literally. Our weekend shift is great there are not that many people there and we run a clean up task we get to bounce around every where love it..

Lets hope our first 10 hour day goes easy tomorrow stay tuned to see how tomorrow goes... My bet is we come home and Todd will take a nap!!! ;-) and of course I will be blogging LMAO

Hiking On A Beautiful Day In Kentucky!

Today is our last day off this week we decided we would hit the trails with Cosmo. Right across from the campground is a trail that takes you back to a lot of different little trails. We walked up to the trail head though because we needed a map. These trails are multi use which means horses, hikers and bikers can go on them. We started our hike on the Wildcat Trail that will take us to the North Trail this is the main trail that run into all the other little trails. About 1.5 miles in we see another trail that leads down into the woods more called the Turkey Bluff Trail off we go. At the start of the Turkey Bluff Trail Todd found a rubber ducky stuck in a tree lol.. maybe it was from a scavenger hunt and it was never found it is in one of the pictures lol… Not even on this trail long at all we see a more challenging trail heading down hill with bedrock on it Todd loves these kind of trails so down we head.

DSC03766 DSC03767 DSC03768 DSC03769 DSC03769-001 DSC03770 DSC03771 DSC03772 DSC03773 DSC03774 DSC03775 DSC03776 DSC03777 DSC03778 DSC03779 DSC03780 DSC03781 DSC03782 DSC03783 DSC03784 DSC03785 DSC03786 DSC03787 DSC03788 DSC03789 DSC03790 DSC03791 DSC03792 DSC03793 DSC03794 DSC03795 DSC03796 DSC03797

This trail is an un named trail and it is not on the map so we do not know where this leads of what is down there. It is a pretty steep hill down and if it a one way trail we will be back up this steep hill later hopefully it is not. About 1.5 miles and we made it to the bottom and we see water it is part of the green river lake. We continue walking hoping that the trail will take us back up the other side we get to the waters edge there is water in front of us and on either side steep steep hills that we are not going up. Guess we are heading back the way we came. I think the up the hill is a lot worse then down hill Todd thinks the other way around Cosmo is loving this hike. Right before we got to the top Todd stops me and points at the ground, I could not see anything so I got closer HOLY COW…. this frog decided to jump and scared the crap out of me I have a pictures of the cute little thing. We are at the top now do we continue on the Turkey Bluff Trail or do we go back…. we will push on that was to short of a hike lol…

The Turkey Bluff Trail is about 1.5 miles down to the Rocky Bluff Spur to an scenic overlook. Walking long on the left side of us is the Green River Lake it is very cool but since the trees still have their leaves you can not get a really good view of the lake. I am sure once the leaves start falling this hike will be really scenic. We are not seeing any wild animals we think because this trail is so widely used that they will not come out. I was hoping to see some deer this time since I have my camera and I could get a really good picture of it. Seeing some pretty flowers, some tree’s leaves are already changing and the colors are beautiful. We are at the end of the Turkey Bluff Trail and we see the Rocky Bluff Spur. We check the map to see the level of challenge for that trail it is hard lots of up and down and we have Cosmo with us so we are going to save this trail for a day that we do not have a puppy with us.

Back on the North trail that hikes you back around to the trail head. This trail seems really short because it is a straight really easy walk mostly red clay you can see all the millions of horse prints and #2 so you have to watch where you are going. Almost to the end and we hear a turkey… We could not see it but we could hear it moving and hear it gobbling I wish I could have gotten a good picture of it. We do not have to walk all the way to the beginning of the trail head because there is a trail start right across from our campground so we get to take a short cut out. 5.5 miles later and we are finished. Cosmo had energy for days he hiked 5.5 miles with us and he still have energy out the wooza…… He is a really great hiker but once we walked in the door he ate some food drank lots of water now he is all sacked out.
